Πυρκαγιά ξέσπασε λίγο μετά τη 1.30 το μεσημέρι - από άγνωστη μέχρις στιγμής αιτία - σε δασική περιοχή με πεύκα, λίγο έξω από την Ελασσόνα και κοντά στην 361 ΠΑΠ, στρατιωτική μονάδα που ανήκει στην διοίκηση Συκουρίου, όπου φυλάσσονται και πυρομαχικά. Ο δήμαρχος της πόλης, Γιώργος Πασχόπουλος, αποφάσισε την εκκένωση της πόλης της Ελασσόνας για προληπτικούς λόγους. Πάντως, παρότι στην περιοχή πνέουν άνεμοι, σύμφωνα με εκτιμήσεις η φωτιά βρίσκεται υπό σχετικό έλεγχο, τουλάχιστον όσον αφορά στο σημείο όπου βρίσκονται τα πυρομαχικά. Λίγο πριν τις 6 το απόγευμα, υπήρξε λήξη συναγερμού και επιστρέφουν στα σπίτια τους οι κάτοικοι.

Το «πράσινο φως» για να προχωρήσει η διαδικασία της αποκρατικοποίησης της ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ έδωσε η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή, με επιστολή που απέστειλε στον υπουργό Υποδομών, Μεταφορών και Δικτύων, Μιχάλη Χρυσοχοΐδη, ο αντιπρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, Χοακίν Αλμούνια.

Τροποποιήσεις στο νομοσχέδιο για τη ΝΕΡΙΤ που συζητείται στην Επιτροπή Δημόσιας Διοίκησης της Βουλής, κατέθεσε ο υπουργός Επικρατείας Δημήτρης Σταμάτης. Η συζήτηση του νομοσχεδίου θα γίνει με την κανονική διαδικασία, ενώ ύστερα από ψηφοφορία εγκρίθηκε κατά πλειοψηφία να έχει ολοκληρωθεί την ερχόμενη Πέμπτη και σε δεύτερη ανάγνωση.
 

Meanwhile, many artists continue to perform every day in the courtyard of ERT in support to the thousand of workers that have been fired. A large audience gathered yesterday as well in order to hear live Sokratis Malamas, Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Ilias Zoutsos and Nastazia.

In a relevant announcement, the workers of the public television stated: «ERT signals the fight for democracy and becomes a real transmitter of the struggling society. Every day, exquisite artists support our fight to keep ERT alive».

11 federations of the public and private sector organize on ERT’s premises on Tuesday 9th of July at 7pm a rally of support for the cancellation of the act of legislative content concerning the public radio-television. The federations invite «all citizens that have been levelled by the catastrophic policy of the memorandum and the capitalistic approaches, fired citizens, unemployed people, strikers, precarious workers and pensioners to a big rally of resistance and overthrow. So that the policy of firing and the fascist policy of the abolition of social commodities stop. So that the act of legislative content that blackened civilization and information is cancelled.

Meanwhile, there is no essential development in regard to the discussions of the State Secretary, mr Pantelis Kapsis, with ERT’s workers. The dead end continues. The Council of State’s ruling which was given 20 days ago can not be executed. A new meeting is about to occur between the two parties today. The biggest «thorn» remains the proposal to ERT’s workers for 3 month contracts that involve the transition state of the public television, something that the government desire to impose. Nonetheless, mr Kapsis declared in an interview that «it is a matter of hours» until ERT broadcasts again.

Αφέθησαν ελεύθεροι οι 32 φοιτητές του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών που προσήχθησαν νωρίτερα στη Γενική Αστυνομική Διεύθυνση από διμοιρίες των ΜΑΤ και αρκετούς αστυνομικούς των ομάδων ΔΕΛΤΑ και ΔΙΑΣ, μετά από παράσταση διαμαρτυρίας των Φοιτητικών Συλλόγων του ΕΚΠΑ, στη συνεδρίαση του Συμβουλίου Διοίκησης στην Πρυτανεία του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

Κλειστοί είναι σήμερα οι Δήμοι της χώρας με εξαίρεση τις κοινωνικό-προνοιακές δομές, σε αντίδραση των εργαζομένων αλλά και των Δημάρχων στις κυβερνητικές αποφάσεις για την κινητικότητα και τις απολύσεις στο Δημόσιο, αφού η μερίδα του λέοντος θα προέλθει από την Τοπική Αυτοδιοίκηση.  Πορεία της ΠΟΕ και της ΑΔΕΔΥ κατά της κινητικότητας βρίσκεται σε εξέλιξη όπως επίσης και συνάντηση στο υπουργείο Εσωτερικών, των Δημάρχων με τον Υπουργό Εσωτερικών Γιάννη Μιχελάκη. Σε αυτήν συμμετέχει και ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης. Σύμφωνα με το σχέδιο στο οποίο κατέληξε το υπουργείο Διοικητικής Μεταρρύθμισης, το πρόγραμμα της κινητικότητας των 12.500 υπαλλήλων θα υλοποιηθεί σταδιακά και βασική δεξαμενή θα αποτελέσουν οι δημοτικοί υπάλληλοι.

Around 8 pm on Sunday, in mount Ainos of the island Cephalonia, a magistrate, accompanied by the police and two private technicians of unknown expertise (and experience), approached the broadcasting centre and turned off the transmitter, jeopardizing the expensive equipment. In Cephalonia, they might have succeeded in turning off the analogue transmission and submerging into blackness and silence a big part of Western Greece, but it was their only success yesterday. Information about similar actions in other broadcasting centres mobilized the local entities and mainly citizens in Patra and Chania so a crowd of people rushed and formed a chain of safekeeping around the transmitters of both regions. Some left liberal parliamentarians were also present. With this coordinated action of solidarity the citizens of Patra and Chania protected their Radio, their property and showed that there is another way: the way of resistance which in many cases defines the winner.

Après  le Mont Gerania, suivent le Mont Ainos, le Mont Panachaïkon  et Dasillio de  Patras. Accompagnés par la police, des particuliers techniciens « noircissent » ... de plus de plus de fréquences de la Radiotélévision publique. Le coup d’Etat du gouvernement pour bâillonner l'ERT, le soir du 11 Juin, est suivi d'autres ... tristes épisodes.  Ils ont désactivé la transmission de l'émetteur de Gérania.  Aujourd'hui, ., peu après 8 heures du soir, ils ont désactivé l'émetteur sur le Mont Ainos à Céphalonie et une autre opération est en cours pour désactiver  les émetteurs en Achaïe. A Patras les travailleurs de l'ERA locale (station de radio d'ERT) et un grand nombre de citoyens se sont déjà mobilisés pour empêcher un autre acte d’intervention brutale dans les fréquences publiques.
